Cirque du Soleil has announced that one of their most popular Las Vegas shows is no more. Zumanity closes forever, ending it’s seventeen year run at New York-New York, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The company announced in June it is filing for bankruptcy.
The closure puts 120 artists, crew members and staff out of work. A spokesperson for Cirque du Soleil said that they are “…forever grateful to the extraordinarily talented cast, crew and staff who helped make Zumanity an unforgettable experience…” for more than seven million guests.
There has been no announcement yet about the company’s other shows, “O,” “The Beatles LOVE,” “Ka,” “Mystere,” and “Michael Jackson ONE.” You can read more about why Zumanity closes forever at the Reno Gazette Journal.
