Players in the Keystone State have been wondering, asking, and waiting for the World Series of Poker. And now, they will get their long awaited WSOP Pennsylvania site!
The announcement comes almost two years to the date of the launch of Pennsylvania online gambling. The company chose to unveil their plans for the state via social media channels.
The WSOP promises players the “best sign up offer” with the “largest guarantees” in the state. Plus, a new and improved poker client. Right now, the site is the only online poker available in Nevada and the industry leader in New Jersey.
With the recent decision of the US Department of Justice to abandon their Wire Act case, there is optimism that many states will now pursue cross-border liquidity. That is, a pooling of poker players from many states onto a single site.
The pooling of players would require states to enter compacts with one another, but would be a boon for players. those who enjoy the game. It would mean more players in seats for cash games and tournaments, and ultimately keep players more engaged.
