The World Poker Tour has announce a major upgrade to the WPT Poker online software platform, which includes the integration of a major new engine upgrade. This improvement demonstrates the commitment of the WPT to creating a smoother, faster and more efficient online poker experience.
Some of the key features in this update include an improved speed and responsiveness. The new engine enhances poker game play performance, bringing in a higher frame rate and smoother experience at the online felt. There is also a reduce device load, which means individual CPU usage will be cut down by up to 80%, while memory usage could be lowered by up to 50%, making devices run cooler, quieter, and with less power consumption.
Additional changes to the WPT Poker software include an enhanced ability to play at several tables simultaneously, as the upgrade makes it easier for players to multi-table without downgrading performance. Plus, it sets a foundation for more updates in the future, as the new engine allows for high-definition visuals that take the software to the next level.
Over the past year, we have heard player feedback highlighting issues with how resource-intensive the software was, especially on CPU during multi-tabling. The engine upgrade addresses these concerns to create a seamless, more enjoyable poker experience.
“I’ve been testing the new WPT Poker engine internally, and the difference is remarkable,” said Alex Scott, President of WPT Global. “This is a crucial step in us creating a smoother, faster and efficient poker platform. While this update focuses on performance enhancements, it lays the foundations and groundwork for new and exciting features and visuals going forward.”
