Officials for the World Poker Tour recently announced the signing of a new 3-year TV deal with FOX Sports Network which will provide close to 100 hours of new WPT poker programming for the cable network to extend through 2017.
The new agreement is set to begin with the upcoming start of Season XII of the WPT, with five designated main events on the schedule through the end of 2013 to be televised.
Players will have the opportunity to be a part of a TV final table starting this August when the WPT returns to the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles for their annual Legends Of Poker Tournament. Additional televised Main Events this year include stops at the Borgata, the Grand Prix de Paris in France, the Playground Poker Club in Montreal and finally the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas.
At the same time the World Poker Tour unveiled it’s global schedule for the remainder of 2013 which includes 11 Main Events and 10 Regional & National Events taking place on 4 continents.
Highlights include the kickoff event of WPT Cyprus on August 16th which will include a live streamed Final Table, WPT Caribbean on November 19th, WPT Montreal on November 29th, WPT Prague on December 15th and the final main event of 2013 to take place in South Korea.
