iGaming Business – UK bookmaker William Hill has signed up to carry Turf TV’s coverage of US racing in its betting shops.
The newspaper said that Turf TV, a joint venture between 34 leading UK racecourses, would show live coverage from US tracks such as Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park, Santa Anita and Pimlico Racecourse. The coverage will be shown in William Hill’s 2,400 UK betting shops.
“Turf TV will become William Hill’s exclusive supplier of US racing from February 2014,” Adrian Ford, the managing director of Turf TV’s parent company, Amalgamated Racing, said.
Ford added that the deal would give William Hill’s betting shop customers “competitive racing packaged specifically for a UK market throughout the evening, every night of the week.”
Last year, Turf TV agreed a partnership with US racecourse owner Stronach Group.
As reported by iGaming Business, William Hill already has a deal to show Turf TV’s UK racing coverage until 2018.
