Will Airport Gambling Find Its Wings In Indianapolis?

mobile gamblingPress Release – There are plenty of places in the United States that are always looking for new streams of income, and Indiana is no exception. They could be in the market to try out a new form of online gambling that has some wondering if it is feasible, or even legal, and if it works, it could change the game.

Indianapolis International Airport is where two lawyers would like to implement a new technology that allows people to gamble while they are waiting to board their flight. How it works is, you buy a ticket for a flight and your mobile phone is connected to a server in the airport that allows you to gamble if you are 21 and over (your age would obviously be verified as you were purchasing your ticket). There are some that are worried that would cut into the revenue that comes from actual casinos, but you would have to be buying a ticket to get access to the server, so that cuts that problem out. The process has been tried already in Minnesota and while it did work, it didn’t generate a lot of income and that has made some lawmakers in Indiana skeptical of implementing this, although they do admit that it is a decent idea if all the kinks could be worked out.

The issue is that many people are waiting to go on vacation usually, so they don’t want to spend money before they get to their destination. Other states have looked into this before and they haven’t found it to be as profitable as they thought it would be. There are many people that like the atmosphere of actually going to a casino, or they like doing some online gambling in their own home. However, it is an idea that is out there, and you can bet that it will get worked on and refined.
