It was fun while it lasted. And you still have time to catch the final shows of the Weekends with Adele residency at Caesars Palace until November 23rd.But be warned that when her run is over, you may not be able to see Adele in Las Vegas ever again. These are her words, not ours… sort of.
Technically she didn’t come right out and say that. What she did say, however, was that she is completely worn out from such an amazing run of performances. And when she finished the last Weekends with Adele show in November, she will be taking an extended break from music in general.
“I’m feeling quite depleted right now,” Adele shared with German broadcaster ZDF, and reported by the BBC. “I don’t have any plans for new music at the moment. I’m looking forward to a significant break and exploring other creative pursuits for a while.”
That’s understandable. There’s only so much one person can do before the tank runs dry. And hey, how much more money does she actually need to live a happy life? During her time doing the shows in Las Vegas, she often engages directly with the audience, making these intimate performances a unique experience.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, when the Weekends with Adele residency is done it is expected to have grossed over $220 million. That would place it among the top five Las Vegas productions of all time. The show has been masterfully crafted, with Adele delivering surprise highlights each weekend, so catch it while you still can.
