This Week in Gambling – Today we were contacted by a person calling themselves “Mark Cord” via a friend request on Facebook. He immediately started soliciting us to promote his sportsbook and casino, BettyLue.com.
It’s quite a strange name, but who are we to judge? We looked over the site and found it put together in a very unprofessional, almost half hazard manner. Nothing looked legitimate to us, so we contacted our partners at SBR Forum for a reference and to see if they had heard of them. They had no idea who they were.
We found it a bit odd that an industry watchdog like SBR had no clue who these people were, especially since “Mark” had claimed in an email to us that Betty Lue had been online since 1995. So, J Todd decided to chat with “Mark” and asked him more about the site. That’s when he told us of the second site associated with this group: Nova Per Head (http://www.NovaPerHead.com).
“Mark” now stated that it was was Nova Per Head that had been online since 1995, and that “Betty Lue” had actually been online since 2005. A quick “who is” search found these sites are indeed related, but not at all what “Mark” represents them to be:

A check of the Wayback Machine on the Internet archives confirmed the dates these sites were created, and as you can see they are no where near a year old, let alone the pillars of established business that “Mark” would have had us believe, eh? So this begs the question: Why would someone set up new sites, lie about their business practices so blatantly, then try to get us to promote them as quickly as possible? Hmmm….
