The Tennessee sportsbetting bill has passed into law without the signature of the Governor, Bill Lee, who made his opposition to the activity very evident.
That bill will permits both online gambling and land based bets by using remote kiosks. The law goes into effect in about a month, on July 1st.
The Tennessee sportsbetting bill cleared the House by a vote of 51-40 after passing through the Senate by a 20-12 vote.
The Governor has been quite outspoken about his opposition to legal sports betting, but allowed the bill to pass into law.
