2020 WSOP Main Event Set for December
Despite a raging pandemic, officials have been able to arrange an amazing situation to play the 2020 WSOP Main Event. To pull this off they have set up an online-live hybrid for both domestic and international play. In America, the tourney will take place on the WSOP.com website for players in New Jersey or Nevada. A single Day 1 flight will take place on December 13th, with Day 2 the following Monday until there is a final table of nine. 2018 WSOP Second Biggest in History of Event
Organizers of the 2018 World Series of Poker have announced that this year’s main event is the second biggest of all time with a huge field of 7,874 players taking their seat at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas this week. The impressive figure comfortably beats the 7,221 who took part last year and is eclipsed only by the famous 2006 event which saw Jamie Gold defeat a monster field of 8,773 players. 888Poker to Sponsor WSOP Again
888poker has agreed a deal to continue as lead sponsor of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) for the 2017 series. The online operator’s logo will appear at all events in the WSOP 2017 season, which is due to begin in May. The extended agreement also includes exclusive television sponsorship rights. 2017 World Series of Poker Expands Online Events
The World Series of Poker has announced its schedule for 2017. It will begin on May 31 and run through until July 18, with 74 total events making this one of the busiest WSOP schedules ever. Naturally, most events are returning. The recurring events include the Millionaire Maker, the Monster Stack, the Little One For One Drop and both the Ladies’ and Seniors’ events. The $10,000 Main Event will begin on July 8, running for 10 days. Among other changes, $10,000 events will start players with 50,000 chips.
