World Series of Poker Sold
Caesars Entertainment has agreed to sell the World Series of Poker brand and all of its intellectual property to the operator of GGPoker, the NSUS Group, for $500 million. The deal should be finalized before the end of this year and includes $250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note payable five years after the deal closes. Despite the sale, Caesars will retain the rights to host the annual World Series of Poker live tournament in Las Vegas for the next 20 years. Schedule Dropped for 2024 WSOP
The 2024 WSOP has released it’s schedule of events for this summer. The richest, most prestigious and longest-running poker series announced its full daily events during the tournament, following the success of the record-breaking event in 2023. The 55th edition of the series heads back to the Las Vegas Strip at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. The 2023 WSOP is being played at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Casino. The tourney has made history this summer, as their Main Event has broken their all-time record for the most entries!
