Vegas Casino Workers Require to Wear Masks Again
Maybe we’re moving toward recovery too fast? Maybe, as the Clark County Commission has decided it’s time for Las Vegas casino workers to mask-up again. They voted to reinstate masks for employees only (for now) while they are on duty indoors at casinos, stores, and clubs. Actually, it;s not completely accurate to lay this decision on the Commission exclusively. They made this move after several casinos decided on their own to place mask mandates on their employees. In fact, the Venetian has returned to mandatory weekly testing of employees. This decision was somewhat predictable, given the recent rise in Coronavirus…
Vaccinations for Vegas Casino Workers Within Weeks
We’re all waiting for things to get back to normal. And for Sin City, one of the first steps is to get Vegas casino workers vaccinated against COVID-19. Now there’s work from the Nevada COVID-19 Task Force that workers in Las Vegas may be receiving that vaccination as soon as two weeks. Nevada has made the decision to move gaming industry workers up on the list of people who can receive the COVID-19 vaccination, and the Gaming Control Board wants to learn if workers who have direct contact with tourists…

While we wait for the world to get back to normal, the gambling shut down has had a huge impact on Vegas casino workers. Everyone from dealers and pit bosses to bartenders, waitresses, cleaning staff, bellhops and more… all waiting to see what happened. CDC Gaming Reports says that the Sands Corporation, who run the Venetian and Palazzo, continue to pay their 10,000 employees during closure. Last week they announced that they will also pay the 1,200 employees working in the resorts’ 14 restaurants run by third-parties. Hourly and part-time workers will receive a weekly stipend. Meanwhile, Caesars has been…
