Lawmakers in North Carolina are discussing a new bill that would legalize Tribal sports betting in the state. Sponsored be Senator Jim Davies, S 154 would allow tribal gambling facilities to offer sports wagering, in addition to gaming machines, live table games, raffles and video games that are currently permitted. Should the bill come into law, consumers in North Carolina would be able to place legal bets on both professional and collegiate sports events. Tribal Sports Betting Gets Traction in Arizona

Arizona lawmakers will run the rule over a new bill that would legalize land-based Tribal sports betting within the state but prohibit betting on collegiate sporting events. Put forward by Senator Sonny Borrelli and Representatives Mark Finchem and Leo Biasiucci, SB 1158 sets out that each federally recognised tribe in Arizona with headquarters in the state would be able to offer sports betting. Mississippi is about to get a taste of sports betting action, thanks to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, which hopes to roll out the product in the near future.
