Switzerland is set to ban foreign betting sites following a referendum vote on the country’s new Gambling Act. Swiss online casinos, however, will be allowed under the incoming Gambling Act. The Act will also raise the taxable winnings threshold from $1,012 to $1.0129m. Swiss voters overwhelmingly supported the notion with 72.9% coming out in favor of the new Gambling Act, despite it containing some of the strictest regulations in Europe leading opponents to claim it is tantamount to censorship. Sportradar and ITF launch new live scoring system

From iGaming Business Swiss sports and betting-related data services supplier Sportradar has launched a new live scoring system in partnership with the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The new system will cover about 50,000 matches per season from all of the ITF’s Pro Circuit tournaments with data set to be sourced directly from match umpires. The ITF schedule compromises more than 1,000 tournaments per year and the new system will enable Sportradar to expand Betradar’s live betting services.
