The Sportsbooks industry in Spain suffered significant losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the bans instituted in Spain by the Gambling Regulators and the Consumer Affairs Ministry. The main hit was on marketing activities for gambling operators, whose discussion took off back in February with a draft proposing a ban limitation timeline of 8 pm to 5 am. NFL Teams Get Green Light to Work with Casinos & Sportsbooks
A committee of NFL owners has reportedly given NFL teams the green light to grant sponsorship rights to casinos with sportsbooks. Teams will not be allowed to advertise sportsbooks or betting sites directly, but the rules change does relax a longstanding stance that prohibited teams from associating with casinos that also offered sports betting in Las Vegas. According to SportsBusiness Daily, a “team source” said the rules change was announced during a conference call on Monday.
