Gaming States Legislators publish draft for US online gaming regulation

iGaming Business – The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) has vetted an initial draft of its proposed framework for the regulation of online gaming in the US. Scottish National Party joins call for ‘sensible regulation’ of FOBTs

iGaming Business – The Scottish National Party (SNP) has become the latest political party to speak out against fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs) and has called for “sensible regulation” of such machines in the UK. Gamblers in Scotland staked a reported £4.4 billion (€5.3 billion/$7.4 billion) on the machines last year, an increase of more than £100 million on the amount spent in the previous year. Regulation of online poker deals in IRS on winnings

Las Vegas Review Journal – Nearly a year after the launch of real money online poker in Nevada, there’s a new wave of players who must pay taxes on Web poker winnings from 2013. In the years before regulated online gambling, offshore sites that skirted the law to attract U.S. players may not have cooperated with the Internal Revenue Service.
