In the face of the Coronavirus, Pennsylvania online gambling and betting on sports set new records! Despite that bit of good news, however, overall income from gaming was down for the state year-on-year due to the pandemic. Total gambling revenue in November amounted to $283.3 million, a drop of nearly 3% from the same time last year. The numbers were also 11.5% lower than the figures posted in October, this according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Coronavirus may have slowed them down a bit, but New Jersey online gambling revenue has rebounded nicely for October! Internet betting sites in the state were able to bring in well over $90 million which set a new record. Bets on sporting events was also up nearly 30%. Poker was not as lucky. A couple in Florida have been arrested on charges related to online gambling. The two face over 300 counts of illegally setting up, promoting and/or conducting a lottery online… even though no online lottery site ever existed.
