Mirage Demolition & Hard Rock Construction Update

We visit the site of the Mirage demolition 3 months after closing to check on progress, and to see how the new Hard Rock Las Vegas is coming together. While construction is hidden behind walls and partitions, we were able to see that the Mirage Volcano is gone, while other artifacts and signage are still in place. The Hard Rock Las Vegas and Guitar Hotel is set to become a landmark destination on the Las Vegas Strip when it opens in Spring 2027. Mirage Demolition Starts Immediately

Las Vegas guests are still saying goodbye, but Hard Rock says the Mirage demolition will begin before the last tear drops fall. A farewell ceremony was held on Wednesday morning, and many resorts up and down the Strip said goodbye to the Mirage on their marquees. Surrounded by fences, the property is now gearing up for demolition, which is scheduled to commence within this coming week.
