The El Cortez Hotel & Casino just rolled out their finished renovation project on February 20th, including three new food and beverage outlets. Even the mayor showed up, as the property is the longest continuously open hotel and casino in the city. The expansion was completed in partnership with McCarthy Building Companies. A Las Vegas landmark since 1942, the El Cortez Casino is set to undergo a major expansion. The $20 million makeover will include a new restaurant, a Starbucks coffee, two new bars, and a high limit lounge. Work will begin this summer and is scheduled to be completed early next year.
