Providence Journal – The  owners of the private Twin River casino are seeking legislative permission to give up to $75,000 in “interest-free, unsecured credit” on state-sponsored gambling. Potential medical marijuana lawsuit addresses casino accommodations

Press of Atlantic City –  An Atlantic City man has hired an attorney to clarify whether registered medical marijuana users must be accommodated in casino smoking sections after he was told he could not take his prescription at Revel Casino Hotel. Daniel Price, a 23-year-old medical marijuana card holder, said he was turned away from Revel and directed to the Boardwalk when he asked a security guard if he could use the substance in late April. Singapore expands self-exclusion system to add non-casino gambling venues

Calvin Ayre – Singapore’s self-exclusion option, which allows citizens to voluntary ban themselves from entering the country’s two casinos, has now been expanded after the launch of a new centralized self-exclusion system. With this new system, Singaporeans can now voluntarily exclude themselves from other gambling establishments in the country, including jackpot clubs and sports betting clubs. Under the old program, citizens could only have themselves banned from entering the Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands casinos. Tribal gaming operations support 30,000 jobs in California, according to a new study of 2012 data commissioned by the California Nations Indian Gaming Association. The report arrives amid pending legislation to legalize online poker in California, a controversial issue within the state’s tribal community but one that has begun to garner support from existing casino operators. The Telegraph – Wynn Macau Ltd. reported first-quarter profit that beat analyst estimates as billionaire Steve Wynn’s casino drew more premium mass-market customers in the world’s largest gambling hub.
