Gambling regulators have approved regulations to allow sports betting in New York. The new rules will allow wagers on sporting events at Rivers Casino, Resorts World Catskills, Tioga Downs and Del Lago Casino.
Now that regulations are finally in place, each gaming property can apply for licenses this summer, and hopefully be up and running in time for the NFL season this fall.
State lawmakers continue to debate whether or not to allow sports bets to be placed residence mobile devices, with doubts that will be resolved before the end of the current legislative session.
