Betting on sports was legalized in May of last year. And since that time, sports betting in Colorado has grown every month… for nine consecutive months. Now, they are the 6th largest market for sports wagers in the country.
January was another record month for the state, bringing in nearly $327 million. That’s up from just over $284 million in December and $231 million for November.
Even better news for the state is that January’s record revenue netted the state almost $1.2 million in taxes, which was an increase of 125% increase from the previous month.
