Games Beat – Social-casino developer Bee Cave Games is about to expand its reach.
The studio is announcing today that it will begin to offer slots games and real-money gambling. Three slots titles — Creatures of Wonder, Treasure of the Tides, and Wilderness Jackpot — will join the company’s existing Blackjack Casino title, which is available on Facebook and mobile. Bee Cave is promising that it will give these new virtual gambling machines the same high-production values that have made its blackjack game popular. That means quality visuals and a focus on social multiplayer.
“Our DNA is in big multiplayer games, and we’re not treating the multiplayer as an add-on,” Bee Cave Games chief operating officer Jeremy Strauser told GamesBeat.
When players enter a slots game, it will match them with up to four other live gamers. The success of those people will then spill over into the other player’s game, so that everyone feels more connected.
“As far as we can tell, no one else does this in the social-casino games,” said Strauser. “We think this is important to make people feel like they are really on a casino floor.”
