We have a love-hate relationship with the owner and CEO of the Las Vegas Sands… and most of the time it’s more ‘hate’. But during this pandemic crisis we must admit that the Sheldon Adelson Coronavirus help has been more than any other corporation in Las Vegas… or America, for that matter. He has paid more of his employees more money than most… and now this.
Mr. Adelson’s private plane delivered a donation of two million surgical masks recently. His plane first stopped in Albany, New York, where it delivered 500 boxes holding one million masks from China for health care workers and first responders. The next stop was Las Vegas, where an additional one million masks came out of the cargo bay for frontline workers.
“This pandemic has called on each of us to use every ability we have to help those most impacted by the crisis,” Adelson said. “I am grateful we can leverage our resources to get these donations to the front lines, and we send them with the best wishes of our company and team members.”
