iGaming Business – Mobile gambling firm Probability has announced a partnership with direct carrier payments company Boku which will enable UK players of Probability’s mobile gambling games will be able to use a secure payment method linked directly to their mobile bill or pre-pay account.
The service, which has been integrated into games for iPhone and Android smartphone platforms, is immediately available to all Probability customers including LadyLucks, Moobile players and white label partners.
Players can typically deposit money into their gaming account with Probability in less than five seconds. Players are able to deposit up to £30 per day using the service.
“Our players expect frictionless payments thanks to the heavy use of in-app purchases on their smartphones,” Probability chief executive and co-founder Charles Cohen said.
“With this technology from Boku, and their deep integration with the mobile network operators, Probability is now able to match that convenience at an attractive rate commercially.
“Our pitch to both players and partners has always been about accessible, fun gaming with the chance to win real money. In the past we have offered premium rate text messaging as the simplest way to deposit, but this can be cost prohibitive due to out-payments, plus there can be issues with latency in reporting and subsequent reconciliation.
“Direct carrier billing has totally changed the landscape, it’s a much more grown up solution. Boku gives us proper reporting and management tools, with security features which are critical when operating in a highly regulated market.”
Boku chief business officer Jon Prideaux added: “A core focus for Boku is to provide people with a convenient, secure way to pay using their mobile phone number. Partnering with Probability is another way we can provide this convenience and security in a way that benefits consumers all over Great Britain.”
