From iGaming Business – PokerStars has confirmed that it will be launching a range of online casino products on the Full Tilt Poker brand but would not give an indication of timeframes involved.

OnlinePokerReport first mentioned the possibility of the world’s leading online poker site diversifying into online casino as a way to target the regulating US iGaming market. Another reason for the move could also be that Full Tilt Poker has not lived up to expectations following PokerStars’ acquisition of the troubled site last summer.

The name of the new venture could mean a new company name for the former online poker world number-two with Full Tilt Poker becoming Full Tilt Gaming.

PokerStars’ parent company The Rational Group said the company ‘intends to expand our product offering to include casino style games on Full Tilt Poker. While adding new games, we remain committed to building our leadership in poker with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker and continuing to deliver the highest quality poker experience to players’.
