Sports betting expansion is, in essence, online gambling expansion. So talk of a FanDuel online casino should surprise absolutely no one. After all, the company had been at the forefront when it comes to mobile sports bets, so this would seem to be a natural evolution.
In fact, the sportsbook has already selected a creative media agency, Mischief USA, to help them attract a broader audience, gearing up for a FanDuel online casino growth as more and more states legalize and regulate the activity. We may even see an advertising push later this year.
In a press release, the company says that the American gambling industry is “…poised for expansion and FanDuel bets big on its treasure chest of games across roulette, blackjack, slots and live tables”. Casino games offer FanDuel access to players beyond sports betting, obviously. But whereas wagering on sporting events is primarily dominated by males, casino gambling will attract more women. Not exclusively, of course, but the breakdown is more of a 50-50 split.
FanDuel’s Vice President of Casino Brand Strategy, Daniele Phillips, stated “We’re entering uncharted territory as more and more states begin to welcome online casinos… and as FanDuel Casino introduces and acquaints itself to people across North America, we want to do it in an unexpected way that is so distant from category conventions.”
Currently the FanDuel online casino is legal and offered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, and West Virginia where it can be played via iOS, Android, and online.
