iGaming Business – Pre-paid payment provider paysafecard has continued to expand its global operations by launching its core product in Lithuania.
The specifics of the firm’s paysafecard have been adapted for the local market, with products issued in local currency in various amounts.
The 16-digit paysafecard PINs will be available at over 2,000 terminals across the country, with the majority of these located in the cash till area of supermarkets and shopping centres.
In addition, paysafecard has also joined forces with local partner Ashburn to support the move into Lithuania.
Under the partnership, paysafecards will be distributed through the countrywide lottery network via Perlo Paslaugos.
“The push into Lithuania demonstrates our continued belief in the huge potential of new markets,” paysafecard’s founder and chief executive officer, Michael Müller, said.
“Moreover, the great breadth of the international line-up – including the digitally advanced countries of the Baltic region – is a significant contribution to our success.”
The expansion into Lithuania will mean that paysafecard is now present in 37 countries around the world.
