With tourism down, a pandemic still raging and the holidays approaching, The Palazzo Las Vegas has decided to close their hotel until at least the 23rd of December.
The Sands Corporation said the move will “better reflect occupancy patterns”, and that their guests are still welcome to stay at their sister property, The Venetian.
The Palazzo has already shut down hotel operations during the week in July. However, restaurants, bars and shops at the Grand Canal and on the resort’s casino floor remain open.
This closure represents the falling midweek occupancy rates across Las Vegas. In October, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported weekend occupancy rates of just 64%, while weekday rates has fallen to only 39%.
