Greek-owned gaming and lottery operator Intralot has signed an amendment to its contract with the Ohio Lottery in order to provide interactive terminals and games to the state lottery.
Intralot will supply its Multi-Purpose Next Generation (MPNG) self-service Lottery machines, which will be linked to the EZPLAY Tap Games, an extension of the lottery’s instant online EZPLAY product line of interactive games.
The machines will be connected to Intralot’s B-On interactive gaming platform, which it said has been designed to expand sales and services across various traditional and alternative sales channels.
The terminals, which will be rolled out in veterans and fraternal organisations across the state, will also allow customers to access all of the Ohio Lottery’s exiting terminal-based games, in addition to the EZPLAY Tap Games.
Revenue from the new terminals will be used help fund the Ohio’s education system and support charitable organisations.
Dennis Berg, director of the Ohio Lottery, confirmed that the new machines would be manufactured at Intralot’s Ohio facility, where the state’s keno machines and instant ticket dispensing kit is currently made.
“In conjunction with our vendor partner Intralot, we continue to conduct informational open house sessions throughout the state to interested veteran and fraternal organisations,” Berg said.
“Our goal is to provide clarifying information on how the MPNG programme will work and this next generation equipment can benefit their organisations.”
Tom Little, president and chief executive officer of Intralot’s North American subsidiary, added: “The MPNG and the games will allow us to provide the lottery with interactive game content that will provide an immediate solution to the current needs of the state and its veteran and fraternal organisations.
