We help get you ready for football season with information on where you can bet in person and online! Plus, regulatory concerns as gambling spreads, and video terminal gaming at Pennsylvania truck stops!
Hello players! Are you ready for some football??!!! After nearly seven months of waiting, the kickoff of another NFL season is upon us! Only this time there are more places in America to bet on football legally than ever before! And that is this week’s big story! No longer do you have to travel to Nevada just to place a bet on a game… unless, of course, you want to! The rapid expansion of sports betting means there are now a dozen states that will take your action… and if you don’t live in one, you might just live near one.
Delaware, Mississippi, Arkansas, New York and New Mexico… all have legal sports betting in their land-based casinos. So if you’re jonesing for some action and you have to make a wager, it could just be a short drive away. If you live in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Iowa, however, you don’t have to drive anywhere! In fact, if you don’t want to, you don’t even have to get out of your pajamas to place a bet! Those states will take your wager on your mobile device!
Also, Oregon mobile betting is just a few weeks away… and sources in Rhode Island say that they will have online/mobile sports betting up and running in time for the kickoff of the NFL season… which is just in a couple of days, so… that should be along any minute now! In addition to the 12 states I’ve already mentioned, there are six more where sports betting should be up and running soon… Of course “soon” is a somewhat relative term.
Illinois, Indiana and Montana… North Carolina, Tennessee and New Hampshire… all have passed sports betting legislation, and all are ready to launch at any moment… they just haven’t yet. But when they do, you’ll hear about it right here! We just published a complete state-by-state sports betting listing on our website. The list is current as of right now, but you know the times they are a-changin… and quickly! To view that complete list just follow the direct link but I’ve left for you below this video in the description area.
With the expansion of sports betting in America ( and the ability to bet on football legally ) there naturally comes some concerns and responsibilities. Opponents of our industry worry about underage gambling… States worry about geolocation. Leagues worry about the integrity of their games. Operators worry about fraud. And regulators? Well, they worry about every damn thing!
Now a company called Iovation has a solution that will put most of these fears to rest they’ve handled these sorts of situations and regulatory environments in Europe for years, and now they’re offering their services here in America… for a fee, of course. I mean, they’re not giving it away!
Finally this week video gaming terminals are now available for gambling at truck stops in Pennsylvania. Apparently, there are special rooms where these truckers can go and play these games for real money! So now drivers can fuel up, grab a shower, get some food, play some games, and don’t forget about those beautiful truck stop girls that come around for some ———— ! That’s what I call a full-service establishment!
