One of the biggest and best placed to play poker in Las Vegas is back! In February of this year, we reported on the remodel of the Venetian poker room. Now, those renovations are complete and the room has been reopened! Poker players and enthusiasts gathered to celebrate with a day filled with a mix of low and mid-stakes no-limit hold’em games, along with some mixed games and pot-limit Omaha.
The festivities kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a speech from Tommy LaRosa, the Venetian’s poker room manager. LaRosa highlighted how the new location will offer greater convenience for players and enhance their overall gaming experience. Previously, the Venetian poker room was located across from the sportsbook, just around the corner from the Las Vegas Boulevard exit.
The new Venetian poker room is now situated between the Venetian and Palazzo casino floors, in the Grand Canal Shoppes on the second level, and at first glance it may remind some of the Wynn poker room, with its similar blue felt and white rail color scheme. However, there are notable differences, such as the new carpeting. One familiar feature making a return is the self-serve soda machine and coffee station.
The poker room is open around the clock, offering complimentary drinks—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—to all guests. Players earn $3 per hour in comps while participating in cash games. A new feature to look forward to is a live-streaming room, which is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
