Seven new Vegas residencies are headed to the desert this summer and fall, while four current performers have extended their stays and one performer has canceled. Plus, there are rumors of the next big performer to call the spear home, and we’re discussing all of them this week in gambling!
Back in early January, we reported on all the new concerts, comedies, and residencies headed for Sin City this year. And while that video is still available and mostly accurate, things move so quickly that it’s already time for an update. While four performers have extended their stays, no. While four performers have extended their Vegas residencies, one decided not to show up, and there are several new Vegas residencies headed for the spear and MGM properties, plus rumors of a superstar mystery performer that will tell you about. In just a moment, but we begin with Caesar’s where two of the performers we mentioned in January have already extended their shows.
Rod Stewart just added six more dates to his residency at Caesar’s Palace, keeping him in town through October 4th, while Donnie Osmond has extended his stay at Harris’s by 50 shows, taking him all the way into mid-November. Meanwhile, new residencies include. Kelly Clarkson, who will kick off her latest stay in Vegas at Caesar’s on the 4th of July with 18 performances scheduled through November 15th. And just before Clarkson wraps up her stay, Alanis Morrisette will roll into the Caesar’s Coliseum, kicking off an eight performance stay on October 15th, running through November 2nd.
Now before you fall head over feet for Alanis, you ought to know about other Vegas residencies happening at MGM Resorts. So up next we head for Mars or. The park, MGM, where Bruno Mars just extended his stay as well. Since 2016, over 400,000 people have seen his show. Now another seven dates have been added between May and June 2nd. Also, we mentioned Santana in January, but a broken finger delayed his arrival. The guitar legend will now play eight shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay from May 14th through the 25th. Then our next new residency finds Lenny Kravitz playing the Dolby Live Theater also at Park MGM. He will arrive August 1st with shows through the ninth on his short five nights day also. August also brings boys to men. Their brief fortnight engagement at Cosmopolitan will begin on the eighth and run through the 16th.
Finally this week, the new Vegas residencies headed for the Las Vegas Sphere, including a pop sensation from the nineties. And that mystery performer, that’s rumored to be the next big act. But first, the Eagles just extended their residency at the Sphere. Yet again. What started out as an eight night stint has grown to 36 shows counting the four they just added that will keep the band in town until September 13th, then arriving in May, it’s Country Superstar, Kenny Chesney. He is currently scheduled for 15 performances beginning Memorial Day weekend. May 22nd, and running through Saturday, June 21st. In August, it’s the Backstreet Boys who have already added three new dates to their residency before it even begins. The first of their 18 performances will be July 11th, and they are scheduled to stay until August 17th.
Then there’s that rumor that mystery artist who’s in final negotiations for a Sphere Las Vegas residency. Harry Styles, the New York Post reports that styles will sign on to perform 35 shows, but official details have not been released. Also, as I mentioned earlier, one artist we mentioned in January has already canceled their Las Vegas stay, and that artist is: The Black Eyed Peas. Their 15 show stay at Planet Hollywood was supposed to begin last month, but was canceled due to current circumstances, which really means no one was buying their tickets. And that begs the question, is Fergie still available?
