New Durango Casino Las Vegas Unveils Marquee

Marking another exciting milestone, the highly anticipated Durango Casino Las Vegas will reveal a striking new marquee today at sundown. The sign stands at 130 feet tall, and the captivating display will illuminate the new casino site as a sequence of engaging content pieces highlight the resort’s luxury amenities and unique brand perspective.

The double sided display is 60 feet high and 55 feet wide. The new Durango Casino Las Vegas marquee will boaster high-resolution technology with over six million color LED pixels. Complementing the casino and hotel tower facades, the complete pylon sign includes textured cladding panels making for a stunning display at the all-new property.

Parent company Red Rock Resorts, which owns Station Casinos, says that crews already began testing the electronic marquee while passersby noticed ongoing testing the week before the activation. No spy pictures in advance of the big unveiling tonight, however. Durango Las Vegas is expected to celebrate its grand opening this November, just before Thanksgiving.

Slated to open this fall, Durango Casino Las Vegas will feature over 200 hotel rooms, convention, meeting spaces, a resort pool with cabanas, outdoor social areas and free parking. Durango will offer locals and visitors a best-in-class resort hotel and 15 restaurants, including four signature outlets and a food hall set in a dynamic casino environment.

Station Casinos is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and founded by Frank Fertitta Jr. Station Casinos, along with Affinity Gaming, Boyd Gaming and Golden Entertainment, dominate the locals casino market in Las Vegas. The company purchased several sites that were gaming-entitled, meaning that major casinos can be built at that location without additional approvals. There are only a limited number of such sites available in the Las Vegas area.
