As gambling expansion continues across America, new heights are being reached as Nevada, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania gambling records continue to be set!
Nevada has been on an amazing record run of consecutive months with over $1 billion in gaming revenue generated. And with the numbers now official for October, that streak has reached 8 months! Revenue figures for the Silver State in October topped $1.2 billion.
Naturally, Clark County has the highest winnings with just over $1 billion, while casinos on the Vegas Strip generated over $700 million. That translates to an increase of nearly 20% when compared to revenue number from October 2019, before the pandemic hit.
Meanwhile in Tennessee, a record of $375 million in bets were placed in October, which was more that $120 million ahead of their previous record. Sports betting on NFL games was credited for the boost, and also made the state the 5th quickest ever to handle $2 billion in wagers.
Not to be left out, Pennsylvania gambling records were set as the state commemorated their third anniversary of regulated sports betting. They took on over $775 million in bets, bringing the state’s lifetime total to $10 billion.
Pennsylvania now stands with New Jersey as the only two states with over $1 billion in gambling revenue in a single calendar year.
