Sin City is ready for an electrifying start to 2025 with concerts, comedy acts, and residencies. Legendary headliners and brand-new Las Vegas shows are headed to the Strip in the first half of the New year, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the entertainment capital of the world.
Hello friends! If you’re thinking about your next Las Vegas trip you may want to plan around all the concerts, comedy acts, and residencies coming to town in the first half of 2025! Why just the first half of the year? Because apparently, Las Vegas doesn’t like to plan anything more than 6 months in advance! This week we’re looking at brand new Las Vegas shows & residencies, rather than the old ones that have been going on for a while.
That said, in addition to Vegas headliners like Donny Osmond, Barry Manilow and Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie will kick off his King of Hearts residency at Encore in about a week, and other artists opening shows in January include John Fogerty at the Wynn, Santana at Mandalay Bay, Styx at Venetian ,and Pitbull at Fontainebleau! Then Mariah Carey performs eight shows at Park MGM, Tears for Fears also plays Fontainebleau, Blake Sheldon takes the stage at Caesars, New Edition hits the Wynn, and Keith Urban’s High in Vegas adds yet another show at Fontainebleau’s Bleau Live Theater!
Next the Black Eyed Peas take the stage at Planet Hollywood February 15th through the end of May, while Garth Brooks plays Caesar’s Palace for nine shows next month. You can also catch the Scorpions at Planet Hollywood, Bryan Adamsis at the Wynn, and legendary Chicago will be on stage at Venetian. March brings Maroon 5 to town for a short residency at Park MGM, while Dead & Company returns to the Sphere for two months starting on the 20th. Plus, Motley Crew will tear up Park MGM’s Dolby Live Theater. Additional Las Vegas shows in April will find the B-52s in concert at the Venetian, while Park MGM welcomes the Red Rocker in May, followed by New Kids on the Block bringing the right stuff back to Las Vegas in June.
One of the newer residencies that’s still going strong has to be the Eagles over at the Las Vegas Sphere, which began last September and has already been extended three times into the month of April! This has some people wondering just how long the Eagles plan to stay? The short answer is: no one seems to know! This residency was supposedly part of their Long Goodbye farewell tour, which I believe began in 1987. That said, there are a ton of other concerts coming to Las Vegas that are not part of a residency. This includes Collective Soul at the Venetian later this month, as well as the Killers over at Caesars, plus AC/DC will play Allegiance stadium in April, with Post Malone following a few weeks later. And June brings Cold Play to town for two huge shows!
Now, in addition to all the great comedy clubs you can find in town, and ongoing residencies like Carrot Top and the Blue Man Group, there are some really big names in comedy headed for the desert soon. This includes Nate Bargatze, who’s playing at the Wynn from now through March 22nd, along with David Spade at the Venetian, and Jeff Dunham at Planet Hollywood later this year, while legendary comic Jerry Seinfeld returns to Caesar’s Palace this May! Additional comedy shows not part of a residency include Kevin Hart performing at Resorts World in February, and Ron White at the Cosmopolitan in March!
Of course, there are a few other Las Vegas shows and events headed to Sin City in the first half of 2025 that you might might find interesting… like the amazing David Blaine, who returns to Sin City in February and March. WrestleMania, which hits Allegiance stadium for two days in April. And the World Series of Poker, which runs from May 27th through July 16th at the Horseshoe and Paris! Finally this week, something for all you lovely ladies watching out there. It’s not a new show, however Chippendales at the Rio is leaving after 22 years! So now, if you’d like to see shirtless, musclebound, oiled up men dancing around with practically nothing on, you’re going to have to check out their new show over at the LINQ. And hey, you guys are perfectly welcome to attend as well… just make sure you make peace with your manhood before you go.
