Independent online gaming systems and software provider GameAccount Network has announced that its performance in the Italian slot and mobile iGaming markets has led it to post record first-quarter financial results.
London-based GameAccount Network revealed that gross gaming revenues from Italy over the initial three months of 2013 increased by 170 percent year-on-year alongside a corresponding 273 percent rise in the numbers of active players.
GameAccount Network stated that its first-quarter improvements were driven by ‘new product launches in Italy’s fast-growing regulated Internet gaming market and mobile gaming in various European markets’ while it posted a 110 percent boost in active players in Italy quarter-on-quarter alongside a 90 percent swell in gross gaming revenues.
“Italy is one of Europe’s most exciting growth markets for Internet gaming,” said Dermot Smurfit, Chief Executive Director for GameAccount Network.
“As one of the first gaming software suppliers that moved into the Italian regulated Internet gaming market in 2008, we have consolidated our position as a leading supplier of skill games, casino table games and, since the beginning of 2013, a distributor of casino slots developed for market-leading land-based slot machine manufacturers such as Aristocrat and Scientific Games.
“The second quarter will see us deliver more casino slots from Aristocrat Gaming and Scientific Games together with new casino slots from Ainsworth, Incredible Technologies and casino table games from SHFL Entertainment. All games are distributed for our content partners reliant upon our team’s specialist experience, expertise and technical functionality required to serve Italian operators from our hardware platform located in Italy.
