iGaming Business – Dutch gambling monopoly Holland Casino is set to cut a third of its jobs in its head office as part of a new strategy to decentralise operations put in place as a response to its financial problems.
According to the DutchNews.nl website, the firm is to give its 14 individual casinos more sat in how each operation is run, a move that will enable the company to shed 100 out of 300 jobs.
Holland Casino also implemented another reorganistaion earlier this year that led to the loss of 350 jobs.
The company has suffered during the last year due to declining visitor numbers and increased competition from online gambling operators.
Reports earlier this week suggested Holland Casino will make a 30 million ($40.5 million) loss this year.
