Goodbye to Vegas Indoor Skydiving

It’s one of those things you always wanted to do, but never got around to doing. Visiting Vegas Indoor Skydiving. And now, it’s too late. Now, the opportunity has passed. Now, if you want to experience the euphoria of free fall and weightlessness, you will have to jump out of an airplane. And one that’s int he air, not sitting on the ground.

Located just a short walk from the Strip, Vegas Indoor Skydiving ran into a series of issues over the past few years. Eventually, those issues brought the company to the breaking point. So, after more than 40 years in operation, the facility has now shut down simulated experience on January 25th.

In a  message shared via social media, the company stated that they welcoming over 1,000,000 flyers over the years, including celebrities like Tom Hanks, Carrie Underwood, Howie Mandel and Britney Spears. We would of paid to watch Britney float around, but that’s our issue, not yours.

But remember, even if Vegas Indoor Skydiving is gone you can always opt for a more traditional experience and jump from that plane we mentioned earlier. Or, you could try a new outdoor controlled skydive experience that is rumored to be coming to downtown shopping at Neonopolis… but we’ll see.
