The Golden Gate Casino and Hotel celebrated 115 years on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas yesterday. The property is owned and managed by Circa Resorts.
Circa owner Derek Stevens celebrated the anniversary Friday and credited their work with Golden Gate as preparing his team to develop other downtown properties, The D and the newly opened Circa Resort and Casino.
Since its opening in 1906, the property saw many renovations, but it has kept its vintage charm and there are still 10 original rooms available for guests to book.
The lobby showcases a number of artifacts, including a registration book from 1907, some of the first electric signs on Fremont Street, a replica of the first phone and bottles from the prohibition era that were unearthed during renovations.
