A Las Vegas landmark since 1942, the El Cortez Casino is set to undergo a major expansion. The $20 million makeover will include a new restaurant, a Starbucks coffee, two new bars, and a high limit lounge. Work will begin this summer and is scheduled to be completed early next year.

Each of the new design will be meticulously fashioned to mirror the traditional look and appeal that people love about the El Cortez Casino. The plan is to preserve the vintage charm that guests had come to expect from the city’s longest-standing resorts. The new expansion comes after $30 million in work done to the to the original 47 rooms, Tower Premium Rooms, and the casino-floor bathrooms.

The renovation work will also includes expanding the casino floor space by 10,000 square feet, as well as refurbishing 4,000 square feet of the current casino floor.
