DraftKings is ready for the soft-launch a their sports betting app this week. The app should go live at the Hollywood Casino in Charles Town and bringing mobile wagering back to West Virginia.
Local news outlet WV MetroNews reported on Wednesday citing information from state gambling regulators that the Lottery has tested the new wagering app with DraftKings this week and that the app has passed all the tests. This means that it can soon go live with Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, DraftKings’ West Virginia casino partner.
DraftKings announced that it has reached a licensing agreement with Hollywood Casino owner Penn National Gaming late last year. The deal enabled the daily fantasy sports turned sports betting operator to roll out a mobile betting app in the state in partnership with the Charles Town-based casino. West Virginia will be the third state where DraftKings has gone live with sports betting.
