Tennessee Suspends Action 24/7 License

For the first time in the short history of American online gambling regulation, a license has been suspended. The sports betting license of Action 24/7 has been suspended by the state of Tennessee, where the company is based. Following a meeting of the state regulator, the Tennessee Lottery, it was decided to pull the operators license due to suspicious betting activity, which included play through a proxy and suspected credit card fraud. The Action 24/7 team actually brought the matter to the attention of the regulator after they began investigating the player account which made 184 different deposits from seven…

DOJ Surrenders: Will Not Appeal Wire Act Decision

It’s been a long, difficult fight… but it’s finally over. The U.S. Department of Justice lost a Wire Act decision again, but this time they will not appeal that ruling. It’s difficult, however, to put Michigan’s launch into proper perspective after just 10 days of data. It took a while to get going, but now it seems there’s no stopping Pennsylvania online gambling. The state set a record for revenue in December with over $70 million, which was a jump of nearly 500% from  January of 2020. Collectively, the online betting market in Pennsylvania was over $80 million… and that is not counting sports betting. Web based casino games such as slots and table games had the largest growth, while poker revenue remained steady. A major trend in Pennsylvania is that table games are outpacing the growth of slot machines. Betting activity for the table games…
