With at least three Station Casinos still closed in the Las Vegas area, the company has announced that they could remain shuttered for at least another year. Fiesta Rancho, Fiesta Henderson, and Texas Station are all still closed, and Station says that two of those properties have been approved by The North Las Vegas City Council to stay closed until at least June 4, 2023. Virginia Politicians Want to Ban Casino Skill Games

Some Virginia legislative leaders are working to get language into a gambling bill at the last minute which would ban casino skill games. State businessman and NASCAR great Hermie Sadler slammed the politicians doing so, saying they would hurt small businesses and disregard their constitutional rights by doing so. According to draft budget language released on May 29th, a small handful of legislative leaders, working behind closed doors and with no public input, have inserted wording into the budget proposal that would radically alter the existing criminal code and ban casino skill games. It’s official! Regulated sports betting has come to Kansas, making them the 35th state to pass legislation to legalize the activity. Industry insiders believe that Kansas sports betting will be up and running in time for this years NFL season. The Hollywood Casino in Kansas City, run by Penn National Gaming, say they plan to launch retail and mobile sports betting the first day they are legally permitted. American Gambling Revenue Hits All-Time Record

The month of March just set a new all-time American gambling revenue record, bringing in $5.31 billion from slot machines, table games, sports betting and even online gambling! This brings the first quarter nationwide revenue totals for the first quarter of this year to over $14.3 billion, just short of the single-quarter revenue record set in the fourth quarter of last year.
