Online Poker Report – 888 Poker’s New Jersey-facing online poker platform has been hampered by what appear to be widespread disconnections since the site went live on November 26.
The issues do not seem to be with one application in particular as I have personally been disconnected on Windows, iPhone and iPad.
Of course, I am not alone.
Below, I’ll detail some of the problems being chronicled by New Jersey players attempting to access – and stay connected to – 888 Poker.
During a recent tournament that I played in, I chatted with a few other players who all expressed their frustration with disconnects.
One player who goes by the name “njphilf” stated that he had already been disconnected a total of four times during this one tournament alone.
The issues are most likely widespread as threads devoted to 888′s New Jersey connectivity problems are starting to appear on various online communities such as this one at PocketFives.
Here is one player’s post on PocketFives about getting disconnected:
“This is getting ridiculous. You can’t play a tournament without getting disconnected 3 or more times. It happens to me, it happens to people I know and it’s obvious it happens to people I’m playing against. What’s the deal? Here’s another funny thing….you know what I do when I’m playing in a tournament for 3 or 4 hours. I take my notebook computer and leave the state; you know, just for fun. How about you work on your location detection software too.’
