Pennsylvania online casinos is barely a month old, and the first revenues figures from their three Internet betting sites have come in. All told, over $812,306 in revenue was collected in just the last two weeks of July. According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, that profit was generated from nearly $50 million in wagers… mostly from online slots.
The total gross revenue for all online slots was $517,712, while table games accounted for $294,594. Online poker is not yet live in the state. August will produce the first full month of revenue numbers.
The more established New Jersey online gambling market generated nearly $40 million in July, by comparison. With its hefty 54% tax rate on slots and 16% on table games, the state’s take from July total $326,700 for the Pennsylvania coffers.
